The 2010 edition of the Canadian Ecohealth Training and Awards Program is now open

The Canadian Community of Practice for Ecosystem Approaches to Health is offering an Ecohealth training course this June in Quebec, Canada.

The Center for International Health (CIHLMU) at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich will open applications for the PhD-Program in International Health starting in autumn 2010. Interested candidates from around the world will be able to apply; preference would be given to students coming from existing partnerships.

The Fourth ASEAN Congress of Tropical Medicine and Parasitology will be offering limited travel fellowships to young scientists who are pursuing careers in various aspects f tropical infectious disease research. Each fellowship will include registration, travel and accommodation.

Introduction

The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) invites researchers from developing countries to apply for a 12-month career development fellowship on Clinical Research & Development. Successful candidates will be seconded to selected pharmaceutical companies. The goal is to develop human resources to promote high quality clinical R&D in disease endemic countries (DEC). It is expected that qualified professionals will be able to enhance DEC product development capacity on diagnostics, drugs and vaccines against infectious diseases that disproportionately affect poor and marginalized populations.
