HANOI: The Ministry of Health's Preventive Medicine Department has confirmed the second bird flu fatality this year, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

The Ministry of Health of China has notified WHO of a human case of avian influenza A (H5N1) virus infection. The case is a 39 year-old male from Guiyan City, Guizhou Province.
