A large number of organizations of al types involved in one way or another in Communicable Diseases (or Infectious Diseases) in the Greater Mekong subregion. Involvements vary in duration, in level of intervention (regional, national, provincial, district, commune and/or community levels), type of support (technical and/or financial) and type of involvement (disease-specific, technical support, training, managerial. Etc). In addition to direct support to countries in their efforts to combat CD/ID, some other regional bodies/organizations/initiatives are also supporting regional cooperation in CD/ID, in developing strategies, and common plans. In an on-going routine work, the RCU of the GMS CDC attempts to develop a matrix of these various partners’ regional involvements in CDC in the subregion.
