A large number of organizations of all types are involved, in one way or another, in Communicable Diseases (or Infectious Diseases) in the Greater Mekong subregion. Involvements vary in duration, in level of intervention (regional, national, provincial, district, commune and/or community levels), in type of support (technical and/or financial) and type of involvement (disease-specific, technical support, training, managerial. Etc). In addition to direct support to countries in their efforts to combat CD/ID, some other regional bodies/organizations/initiatives also support regional cooperation in CD/ID, in developing strategies, and common plans. In a specially commissioned  work, the RCU of the GMS CDC has attempted to develop a matrix of these various partners’ regional involvements in CDC in the subregion.
